Driving Instructor Training - Your New Career..

At the end of the course you can choose to be placed at an established driving school or go it alone and set up your own driving school.
Once qualified, you will be in great demand from driving schools, all wanting to take you on as a franchised instructor.
The vast majority of driving schools operate on a franchise basis. This means that you will be self employed and in control of your own career.
If you decide to go it alone, then we will offer you plenty of support and guidance to get you started up.

Job Satisfaction

This is probably one of the most rewarding careers there are. Everyone can remember who taught them how to drive.

To take a pupil from no driving experience to passing their test is a very satisfying experience, especially when a pupil is so nervous in the early stages that they think that driving alone is an impossibility.

Flexibility

Haven't you ever wished that you could be having an extended lunch hour or watch your children in their school play, when previously work commitments have prevented you? All that could now be possible.

Being a driving instructor means that you work when you want to. Now you can be in control of your own career.

Earnings

Earn good money doing a job you enjoy. Be out and about, enjoying a rewarding and satisfying job and getting paid for it.

After Qualifying

They say, 'you learn something new every day', this is certainly true when teaching learner drivers. Passing your Part 3 test is just the beginning, every day new experiences and challenges will be put before you, which can only enhance and improve your ability as a driving instructor. Additionally, we will continue to help you develop your teaching skills.

Every 2 -4 years after you qualify, as a condition of being entered on to the Register on Approved Driving Instructors', you must sit a Check Test. This is at the discretion of your local Supervising Examiner, with the first test being likely to happen within the first six months of qualification. The examiner will observe one of your lessons with a pupil from the back of your car, of which you will be assessed, given feedback and possibly graded.

Our training does not end once you have qualified as an instructor. As part of the course fee, we will give you some extra training in preparation for your first check test. This will include an assessment on your progress since qualifying, and offering feedback and advice to help you obtain that all important high grade on your Check Test.
